Unfortunately Nix documentation is sparse, the LSPs are almost useless, and the learning curve is the steepest of any programming language I’ve ever tried.

Nix is better if you can understand it, but very few people I work with do.

I attempted to learn two weeks ago. I know Rust, C, and Python. Nix documentation is getting better, but still nowhere near as good as most other langs. And the LSPs are genuinely useless.

Why can’t we have this kind of information as a document that we can read, rather than a video which requires a whole lot more infrastructure?

I mean there probably is somewhere, but OP watched this video and liked it. I dislike videos as well, but different people have different preferences, I don’t see why this shouldn’t be posted here

I agree, not clicking that link. The aim seems not to spread information, but to monetize it. If you wanted a video you could just use PeerTube.

You are right, I was a bit too harsh, sorry for that. I saw Linux and then my “information should be open for everybody spidey sense” rang. Of course you are allowed to make money for your work. I am not a very big YouTube fan and I don’t like YouTube posts though.
