I should also say that as much if not more blame belongs to our media environment. But even then the Dems never bother to try and utilize our pro-corpo/fascist media to their own ends like smart politicians should. So it still ends up on them imo

You can’t have a media juggernaut constantly spewing garbage to the uneducated, ignorant, masses and expect to have a decent country.
In Canada I’d like to see a no more than 20% foreign ownership rule, event that is too high. The media is such a weapon that it is be a national security concern that is bizarrely overlooked.
This isn’t answering the question but imagine someone like Jon steward running. I’m not saying he’s my guy or anything but he would know how to work the media and us to get his message out there.

Left leaning places like Reddit have the rights message plastered on the front page 247 via snarky tweet replies not realizing that all publicity is good publicity. Someone on the left needs to figure out how to amply a left wings vision onto every platform every hour of every single day.
