Oh lol, they won’t care until the next Demonrat is in office. Then it will, of course, be all their fault.

    Don’t hold your breath…

The debt is skyrocketing because Trump is slashing taxes, but the demonrats won’t stop spending. If we want to get the debt under control, we need to kill every social program and let private enterprise provide those services more efficiently.

If I could whip that out so quickly, imagine how it’s being spun in the maga echo chambers.

They’ll speak up about it as soon as any Dems in power try to spend a single fucking cent on poor people.

At this point it’s on the Democratic Party for never calling them out on the obvious. The GOP is so openly corrupt, disgusting and straight up retarded but the Dems continue to normalize it by not saying jack shit about any of it. They would rather focus all their ire and attention on “the radical left” in their own party.

Yep, Ive gotten a lot of harsh words for being more critical of the democratic party than the Republicans. But at this point it’s like people being mad at hyenas for killing and eating a child at the zoo.

They are hyenas… What did you expect? Shouldn’t we be more focused on the parents who lowered the child into their enclosure? Maybe question why the zoo left a bunch of ropes tied to child sized baskets near their enclosure?

I should also say that as much if not more blame belongs to our media environment. But even then the Dems never bother to try and utilize our pro-corpo/fascist media to their own ends like smart politicians should. So it still ends up on them imo

THIS, until the U.S. fixes the mess they’ve made with the media like FOX infotainment, the slide to oblivion will continue.

You can’t have a media juggernaut constantly spewing garbage to the uneducated, ignorant, masses and expect to have a decent country.

In Canada I’d like to see a no more than 20% foreign ownership rule, event that is too high. The media is such a weapon that it is be a national security concern that is bizarrely overlooked.

This isn’t answering the question but imagine someone like Jon steward running. I’m not saying he’s my guy or anything but he would know how to work the media and us to get his message out there.

The right figured it out. It’s not even about just the media too. Left leaning places like Reddit have the rights message plastered on the front page 247 via snarky tweet replies not realizing that all publicity is good publicity. Someone on the left needs to figure out how to amply a left wings vision onto every platform every hour of every single day.

The reason the Dems normalize it is because they are also openly corrupt and disgusting… they’re just not quite as retarded.

It’s already begun. Headlines splitting the blame between Biden and Trump (Biden’s name goes first). Opeds about how the only way to fix this is to reduce entitlement spending, and how it’s already the Dems fault that we can’t do that, because they may control a chamber after November. The presupposition is that entitlements are bad and must be eliminated. Fucking lazy, sick seniors, why can’t they just die.

        reduce entitlement spending

It’s never the fault of the Billionaires getting massive tax cuts - it’s always the fault of the poor person trying to buy food .

This is precisely how it will go and the right and corpo Dems will beat this drum hard if there are a significant amount of progressive leaning members in congress. For the republicans its a way to continue to shift the blame to the citizens not the corporations for the Dems its a way to try to weaken the progressive’s chances to build long term momentum.

$40T with an inflated but somehow still decreasing credit rating?

    That’s generational debt for a while…

The band-aid solution is war, but the US has never won one…ever. So unless other countries want to help out—obvioiusly not, as the world has disaccharided itself strongly—the only hope is exercising the constitution for long-term recovery.

They won’t. But I don’t think the constitution was ever anything people would do anything about, just a comfy blanket from then until now.

Wars don’t get rid of debt, they have a terrible return on investment, especially when you factor in opportunity cost. The guns vs butter model figures this out after WW1 and everyone still ignores it.

but the US has never won one…ever

They famously won one about 80 years ago. That said, they won in Serbia in the 90s too.

They seem to consistently win wars when they are allied to most of the world.

Some $600+ per inhabitant, per month, is how much it’s going up too…

Good luck usa you’ll need it (and the economic growth isn’t good enough so historically it’s a debt spiral now on).
