My wife gave me the advice as she always points out when I’m talking to someone and they don’t look at her. To be fair, it often happens to me when she’s talking to people, and I’m glad I was made aware of how rude it is.
When I sold cars I was explicitly told to never ignore the wife and if I did it was an immediate deal killer.
In job interviews, we pay attention to if the applicant gives eye contact and engages with the female staff members.
It’s a red flag when they don’t.
