A pat on the back is a cultural thing, it’s important to understand the differences between cultural expression and harassment.
It’s not to say that you have to be okay with it or that you are not allowed to state your discontent, it’s just these issues need to be handled in different ways.
A back pat can be handled in a “Hey John this is making some people uncomfortable please stop” way where true harassment should be handled in a “John you’re fired” kind of way.
Those are the ideal scenarios though, as we know people aren’t always fired for harassment.

Touching a Person without consent is harassment in my opinion. Don’t go around touching people especially at work.
