Way back in the day, when I still (barely) used Facebook (might’ve been my late teen years or early 20s, so early-mid last decade), a friend invited me to a group for “dark humor”. Pretttttty much every 3rd post was about black people. You can get away with it a bit easier here because we only have like 3 of them, but it did not take long to figure out that “dark humor” for these people means “I’m allowed to make fun of minorities because it’s a joke”. I was expecting much wilder jokes, but nah. Garden variety racism.

Yeah, that sounds like a teenager thing tbh. Maybe they used that term as cover, but I’ve personally not dealt with that, hence my reaction
