I miss practical effects. They are just so much more raw. The highly polished CGI that is everything these days is just visually boring to look at. I am not interested in the next flashy gimmick, anything that you can dream up is now possible to show on screen, so the fast paced stupid action doesn’t hit home at all anymore.
Coincidentally, I happen to be watching families at play through a chain link fence at the moment.
