I tried to watch the recent Halo TV show. It was worse than dog shit. I can’t imagine a new one can be as bad.

As a faithful adaptation, it wasn’t very… faithful.
But honestly I think it did a good job as a story.
The thing I keep hearing people complain about is simply because of the helmet. But in reality John obviously wasn’t born with the helmet on (even though it seems that way in the game).
And they setup the emotional precedent for why John works alone and never takes off his helmet. Season 3 was gearing up to be pretty awesome.
Seasons 1 and 2 were more like the prequels to the story (admittedly one’s no one asked for), and season 3 was going to be the actual Halo story.
I just think it should’ve been given the chance.
The Warcraft movie was actually good (even if it didn’t bring in enough money to earn a sequel).
The Halo TV show on the other hand…
I also enjoyed the Warcraft movie. it was a perfect introduction to the franchise. I remember at the time of release people were miffed because it wasn’t WORLD of Warcraft. But still the locales and characters still looked fairly spot on if you only played WoW and not the previous games.
As for Halo. man that show was such a bait and switch. The opening to the first episode with the Spartans and the Master Chief was great annnnnnnd that’s about it.
That halo tv show was so ass. I sucked it up and finished season one, but when season 2 dropped, I gave 0 fucks. I still haven’t watched it to this day. The fact they had insurgents with fucking AK 47s and not any halo lore weaponry was so goddamn stupid. Chief taking off his helmet in episode 1, nothing being cannon, the show was a fucking disaster.
warcraft was a missed opportunity. they should have made two movies. one from each sides perspective(just like the game)

Idk Halo Infinite was pretty fun, and I was there playing the OG back in high school.
I didn’t like the single player/co-op in Infinite, the multiplayer was okay but didn’t recapture the magic for me. I hated them charging for skins instead of people earning them. To each their own.
I mostly stuck to the campaign, that’s probably why I liked it.
Halo has been terrible since Bungie moved on. 343/Halo studios has no fucking clue what they’re doing and should have been fired ages ago.
