Imperialist countries gain the bulk of their wealth from expropriating it from the global south.

You got a study backing that up?

Check out the studies on “unequal exchange”. The most recent publication is https://www.iskrabooks.org/books/p/ue-past-present-future by Torkil Lauesen.

It is an analysis that accounts for the cost of European social democracy being borne by the over exploited world

Already on my list to read! Would have considered recommending it if I had read it myself. Thanks!

I recommend reading through the article Five Characteristics of Neoimperialism.

Yeah, I think I remember you liking Lenin, I was just curious if you had like, an economic breakdown study or something showing the actual numbers instead of theory.

The article provides numbers, examples, and cites its sources. It was written in 2021 as well, so this is relatively modern economic data. Please read the article, if I wanted you to understand how imperialism functions I would have recommended reading Lenin himself, rather than an article using Lenin’s understanding of imperialism as a base and elaborating on it with hard numbers.
