His PC runs Ubuntu 24.04 and the mouse is a Razer Basilisk V3 35K. I tested it on my Ubuntu PC and it had the same problem.

It has a GIGABYTE A620M GAMING X motherboard.
I’m using the same mouse on Tumbleweed without any problems. If it acts up on two different machines I’d say the mouse is broken.
Try if any other mouse gives the same issues.
