That’s not really true at all.
Punisher hates corruption and people who view themselves as above the law or above justice. That can include many cops, but there’s also many times he’s worked with and let himself be arrested by cops because he respects them as a whole. At least when they’re trying to actually protect and serve and aren’t corrupt and dirty.
He would absolutely hate large parts of what the police force has become in America. He sure as hell would hate ICE. But to generalize it to him hating cops shows zero real knowledge of the comic books and is actually quite counter to his stance.
Being able to separate “the bad ones” looked so much easier as a well-off white person in the 70s and 80s, hell even the 90s.
Can’t really distinguish them anymore.
I’d say either the punisher would recognize that police forces nowadays need completely demolished and rebuilt from the ground up, or he’s just a poser who doesn’t actually hate corruption, he just dislikes seeing upsetting news on TV.
Again, showing no knowledge of Punisher. He’s a “blow up a drug lord and look who’s on payroll” kind of guy. Not a “sit around watching TV to get angry at” kind of guy. It’s just as easy now as it was then. He’d download that list of 50,000 ICE employees that leaked a few months back and go ham and ask questions later kind of guy.
He absolutely would be out blowing up ICE prisons in the comics if that wasn’t potentially business suicide for Marvel right now.
Edit: to clarify. Blowing up the corrupted ones is his way of arguing things need to be rebuilt
A lot of old (and new) comic book heroes and fantasy stories and Disney tales are like this unfortunately. The structural tropes that honestly most stories use and rely on are quite messed up. It’s really rare to find an actual good story these days, free of major problematic values or tendencies, and finding stories free of even minor problematic issues is even rarer.
As a kid growing up, I watched way too much tv. And in retrospect realize there were way too many “cop shows”. Like why there hell were there so many shows, presenting cops in a positive light? smh.

Its honestly not much more than “people like a mystery” and a cop show is an easy vehicle for weekly mysteries.
Not according to the current MCU Punisher, Jon Bernthal, who loves cops and has shared that “Punisher” is for everyone, including cops.
He played a corrupt and abusive cop in a docudrama and definitely fit the role.
Not sure they’d be upset tbf, it is my opinion that most cops can or do hate cops. I get this from their complaints about cams making them feel “policed”, the views of their unions on judges and justice, or the enormous amount of videos where they act and talk like street thugs, stuff like this. In my short experience, right when cops authority slightly turns against us, they instantly hate cops. So i’d wager they could understand hating cops quite well.
