They need admin privileges to write to directories such as C:/Program Files, if I had to guess - I didn’t need privileges when installing Halo: Combatevolved Butworse on Linux
but I always installed them on my other drive where it did not need such privileges. it works on linux because here everything runs as admin (in the wine world, it’s not admin in the linux world)
