King’s Field IV
Nightreign made me sad, duskblood looks far worse…this is like a safe space and kinda makes me think Miyazaki maybe made things worse by trying to duct tape Resident Evil vibes to a wonderful ecosystem for cash.
CrossCode, it was very discounted on Steam. I didn’t progressed much, but I’m loving it so far.
I’ve got three games going on:
-
Paper Mario (N64) for a gaming book club sort of thing, but I was intent on finishing the Paper Mario and Mario RPG series anyway. The N64-ness took a bit of getting used to but it’s a great game, most of the series’ DNA is in there already.
-
Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS) for on the go, but I must admit I’m a little stuck in one of the first dungeons - bit embarrassing!
-
Forza Horizon 6 (XSX) on the big telly. Super cheesy writing and the game just showers you with supercars, but it’s fun ticking off the events and collectables. Looks gorgeous!
-
Stardew Valley Expanded. Never played it to completion but I think it’s perfect rn because I’ve been so overstimulated recently.
Coffee Quake 2, a collection of 132 player-created Quake maps, each with an expected play time of about five minutes- roughly the length of a coffee break.

The maps’ brevity keeps things feeling fresh. There’s some unevenness but I can say this much for even the weakest inclusions: They’re short.
The first Coffee Quake is also good fun.
That’s a cool formula, might try it out!
Started another playthrough of the first Control. Just walking around blasting stuff with the melee push and watching how all the individual items react never gets old.
I’ve gone back to Ocarina of Time. Hoping this is the playthrough where I finally beat it
I just wrapped up the main game of Resident Evil: Village. Hated fighting those lurching, weaving lycan bastards, loved how it was basically a love letter to the classic Universal horror monsters. I’ll probably start Shadows of Rose tomorrow.
I’ve also gotten 2 or 3 endings now in the infamous MyHouse.wad Doom II map. It’s a trip. Great story, great atmosphere, and even with my limited knowledge of Doom wads, I can tell they used some pretty crazy tricks to make this work. Somehow this was the more frightening of the two, lol.
Wait, what do you mean 2 or 3 endings?! Now I’ll have to go back and find the rest.
Try taking a relaxing bath and reflecting on things.
Bathroom mirror. Got it. Thank you stranger.
Valheim 1.0 update, has been a long time coming and super worth it!
The Witcher 3 remastered, that most of us got for free at the end of September.
It was hard not to dive back in that world.
My friend convinced me to try playing through Kingdom Hearts, so after spending way to long trying to understand the numbering convention I’m playing Kingdom Hearts I.5
Hogwarts Legacy is surprisingly good! Been playing this for the past week.
The Witcher 3 Remastered. What a game. I love it like i played it the first time. Although it has some weird bugs.
Looked through my game catalog for scary games to play this month and found Signalis. I’m guessing it was a ps+ game at some point because I don’t remember purchasing it. I’ve gotten through the first few areas and I’m enjoying it so far. Not really that scary but the atmosphere is still creepy. It has glowing reviews so I’m hoping it lives to to them.
That looks super cool. Definitely added to my wishlist. Thanks for the rec!
God of war hardest difficulty (whyyyyyy). Also a bit of Roblox and look outside
