Yes I was being a little hyperbolic for comedic effect but it’s absolutely a thing in the cat comms around here, not sure I’ve seen death threats specifically about it but people hate outside cats (more to the point, their owners) on lemmy.
I spend a lot of time on Lemmy and I haven’t seen a single person say that.

i mean i get it, but if everyone kept their cats inside my bike rides would be so boring. i meet new cats every day. it’s one of the better parts.
