I don’t know why steam won’t let us opt out of seeing AI games. (It’s because they’d make less money presumably).

I know that might lead to less games disclosing AI use, but steam should permaban devs that don’t disclose, issue refunds to purchasers, and be done with it. People should also be able to report games for AI and there should be a review process.

Many people are really bad at detecting AI at that level. And gamers get vengeful. The review process you propose would be immediately overloaded.

I released a game on steam 100% human made and still got a few accusations of using AI in reviews. Who knows how those reviews have hurt sales.

Next time I make a game I’m going to use AI in a way that helps me realize my own vision. It’s really not worth keeping a line in the sand anymore since enough people can’t actually tell the difference.

What’s the name of the game?

Lot of liability cutting off someone’s income.

Would be pretty shitty of someone could pay their medical bills cause steam withheld their money due to a AI report campaign.
