Aha, oysters yes. Nothing but oysters, don’t worry. Just simply oysters. Yup, definitely oysters :3

Man, some people just didn’t pay attention in 9th Grade health class.

Also, don’t go “right there,” unless she asks. Be gentle, maybe tease. Ultimately, listen to your partner. Think of “right there” like teeth on your head, and I don’t mean biting.

    But yeah, great artistry.

I know this isn’t actually about oysters, but I’m going to use this to say that oysters actually can’t feel anything! They’re a pretty ethical source of protein (in my opinion) because you can’t actually cause them pain or anything. They’re basically the closest meat equivalent to plants.

Overfishing can be an issue, but I think we have that managed pretty well in industrialized countries, where eating oysters actually contributed to increasing their population, not the other way around.

Basically, eat more oysters! They may look nasty, but they’re great once you get used to them raw! If you can’t do that, fried, or however you want to eat them, is still alright.

My grandfather and I used to eat raw oysters when I was young and I loved them. As I got older I tried a fried one and the consistency almost made me throw up. Somehow the fried one was more “slimy” than the one on the halfshell.

I’m pretty good at shucking. The trick is not to push too deep or you can pop it before you slurp. There’s a creamier mouth feel when it pops in your mouth.

After that I like to bake the shells in the oven till they are brittle so I can feed them to my chicks.
