It always amazes me how class contradictions can twist and warp any religion into a tool of oppression. I’ll never understand how the ruling class can soothe their cognitive dissonance so thoroughly
It’s more that in any given mode of production, the ones that can’t abide the brutality the system is selecting for are cast aside, and is why socialism, with the working class as its political center, is what can genuinely move beyond the atrocities of older class society.
