    Wikipedia says this approach originated in Germany, called ‘Würstchen im Schlafrock’. Afaik it’s popular in Eastern Europe.

    English-speakers may know it as ‘pigs in a blanket’.

      Pigs in blanket in the UK would mean cocktail sausage in bacon or pastry
      It could be both, but I’ve never come across it
