I am disappointed that the main alternative currently seems to be arm and not RISC-V.
Speaking as a hardware engineer, RISC-V is a very nice architecture to make hardware for.

Half the article is avout moving to RISCV. The current move is to ARM but the bigger one will be to custom RISCV. Especially if tooling gets better.
As if you’ll have a choice in 20 years.
