What planet are these guys fucking living on? It feels like every time I turn around in the last year that Trump has been suggesting ending the war by having Ukraine just… give up and give up lots of important territory.
The ship of the US betraying Ukraine has sailed, guys. The US is busy somehow committing war crimes without the existence of an actual war. Maybe you really ought to be placing your trust elsewhere by now.
Always has felt like the EU was too busy fighting each other over who gets the most scraps rather than trying to build enough power and influence to really stand up to the world’s superpowers.
It really depends on what you mean, I don’t think it applies like that in general. Economically we do have enough influence and power because we’re rich and people want our money, so they have to play by our rules. See for example Apple having to switch to USB-C or having to implement support for 3rd party stores.
Other than economy we don’t have that much influence, sadly.
You’re on the nose, but that’s still kind of immaterial to the point that they can’t count on the US here. By hook or by crook they gotta find a solution without the US.
…the US has already betrayed Ukraine???
