There used to be a billboard here in Seattle where you fill in the blank of what Jesus is to you. It was just text that said, “Jesus is _______” and a way to contact the church. One of our artists wrote in giant letters “Middle Eastern” in the blank. I was so proud to be a Seattleite.

It’s funny but it’s also ignorant of Christianity. Jesus WILLINGLY CHOSE to be crucified. He knew it was going to happen before anyone else.

Fair point, but additionally it was the will of the Pharisees and the Sadducees convincing Pilate to execute Jesus on their behalf. They had no power as Jewish people to execute another Jew, so they had to use Pilate as a proxy. Also the Roman Soldiers, who had no reason to torture him before execution also proved ACAB thousands of years before the phrase.Oddly though, as my personal unpopular opinion, I always considered Judas as the sort of anti-hero, who accepted payment to turn over Jesus to the Pharisees which enabled his ability to take on sin and die on our behalf. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Jesus didn’t walk up to the Romans like, “Hey, I need you to crucify me to fulfill God’s plan.” The Romans chose to do it based on their own free will.

Creating a narrative around someone who was good, going against everything they stood for but controlling the narrative around them to force one’s own autocratic policies upon others is an ancient tale.

Fascists do it with the founding fathers of the USA

      Tankies do it with Marx

And Christians started doing it about the exact moment Jesus’s body hit rigor mortis.

Deification of notable figures, in Jesus’s case literally, is always something done by autocrats who demand control over everyone else.

Actually I was referring to how tankies pretend to be communists but the moment the revolution concludes, they immediately abandon the teachings of Marx (proletariat rule, seizing the means of production for the proletariat, elimination of capitalism, etc), and instead go all in on autocracy and state-capitalism.

            tankies pretend to be communists

By advocating for positions that Marx held?

the moment the revolution concludes, they immediately abandon the teachings of Marx

Permanent revolution is the strategy of a revolutionary class pursuing its own interests independently and without compromise or alliance with opposing sections of society. As a term within Marxist theory, it was first coined by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels as early as 1850.

I don’t think you know what you’re talking about

By advocating for positions that Marx held?

No, actually, by fundamentally abandoning the positions Marx held in favor of whatever Marxist-Leninist “make it up as you go” bullshit a specific country claims to follow.

You know, like abandoning the fight for proletariat rule, the proletariat owning the means of production, and the elimination of the system of capital. Those things core to Marx’s philosophy that every single ML country has utterly failed to do, and has actually established permenant barriers to by way of autocracy.

Permanent revolution is the strategy of a revolutionary class pursuing its own interests independently

Right, which didn’t happen in the USSR because they abandoned those big 3 Marxist principles, which are the fucking point of communist ideology.

and without compromise or alliance with opposing sections of society.

Right, like how virtually every self proclaimed communist, or Marxist-Leninist country sold their souls to their external allies, such as the USSR, China, Cuba, etc, who all abandoned Marxism in favor of Red Fascism, AKA: Marxist-Leninism AKA: Most typically autocratic state-capitalism

As a term within Marxist theory, it was first coined by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels as early as 1850.

And we can very easily see how the countries tankies promote as the best iteration of revolutionary societies are fundamentally not in any way compliant with Marxist ideology.

Again, proletariat rule, the proletariat owning the means of production, and the elimination of the system of capital are the entire fucking point of Marxism.

The systems and states tankies gush over have not only abandoned these principles, but actively repress any progress towards them by way of autocracy and state-capitalism

I don’t think you know what you’re talking about

              Typical tankie psychological projection
