A lot of small dogs try to warn their owners of how they’re feeling. But because they’re small, and because people don’t know how to read dog language, the warning signs are ignored. So the dog has to escalate in order to get their point across.
Once you begin to learn how dogs communicate you realize that most owners are misinterpreting their dog’s behavior.
It really is shocking how many people treat their pets like cuddly inanimate objects.
Chihuahuas are on the far end of the special spectrum. Many small breeds are very calm.
