The answer to this problem can be piracy, but there’s also just rotating your subscription churn.

Sign up for HBO for a month, go to cancel, and take the next 6 months half off offer.

Cancel HBO after the discount period, and then sign up for Netflix for 2 months, then cancel and go to back to HBO, or pick any other streamer you want, but only pay for one at a time.

The channels are starting to get so expensive it’s not even worth doing this anymore. You have to have something I want to pay to watch at a price I’m willing to pay. Netflix hasn’t had anything I’ve wanted to watch in years. Rebooting Harry Potter on HBO is not an enticement to subscribe.

I’m also not supporting some Trump-related conglomerate. Paramount/CBS won’t be getting any more of my money, even if the Star Trek garbage they’ve been pumping out somehow improves. And any other network they buy, I won’t be watching.

If they start the first season of dozens of new shows and then cancel the run immediately, would that change your opinion?
