I’m hoping they can pull S2 together, so far the plot is kind of meandering around, feels unfocused compared to S1.
Well deserved, it’s a well written and executed show even for those unfamiliar with the games.
I really enjoyed the first season. This one is meh.
Interesting, I find this season more intriguing as I think it overall has better character development, just not specifically as much for the main characters from season one. The strains between Barb Howard and Cooper Howard in their pre-nuclear war lives. This season spends much more time with Howard pre-war than post-war. More background on Hank MacLean and his philosophy and drives. While there is less focus on Lucy, she still is getting some growth as the wasteland begins to change her, from addiction to drugs to theft to murderous violence. I would say I am most disappointed with Maximus’ storyline this season just because it seems like he has less time for growth as much as events keep happening outside of his control, but perhaps that’s intentional, as he has a line that references that idea in a recent episode. Frankly, I also wish the seasons weren’t so short because I think Norm’s path is intriguing but hasn’t been given enough screen time to really develop, and the things he learns are important to the future of his origin vault.
My problem with this season it’s feels like a thousand storylines chopped into small scenes that dosen’t have the time to develop organically.

Seriously though, I don’t entirely disagree, the season is too short for any storyline to really cook with only two episodes left.
First off, I gave up after two episodes.
For whatever reason, I haven’t found this season as compelling. I really want to see more of the ghoul (Cooper?) and his pre war story. I enjoyed Maximus’s story in the previous season, but didn’t enjoy his bit in the second episode. The focus on Bud’s buds didn’t do it for me either.
Maybe I’ll give the third episode a shot.
Just a warning, the episodes you’re really looking for will be episodes 5 and 6 and soon enough the focus on Bud’s buds will make more sense in context to the larger story and the connections to existing Fallout lore. So you’ve got two more episodes that might be kind of a slog for you (based on what you’re looking for) before it really picks up in terms of what you’re seeking.
That’s a lot of hours. I’ll give it another shot, but I’m taking it episode by episode.

One does not buy pirate hats, one takes them by force! It’s easier than you think - all media is free is you want it and are willing to seize it for your own use.
I loved the first season and I just started S2 last week and the first episode was great.
