    For those of us in the states… Other countries empty out 2 litre soda bottles to measure out their gallons of gas. its an extra step, but pretty much the whole world has decided base 10 is better for some reason.

    So, can you buy WWII pattern jerry cans in the modern day without some godawful useless EPA mandated valve spout? The blow molded gas cans have been legislated to worthlessness.

      A jerry can is a container specifically for fuel. The name comes from the fact that the design we still use to this day was invented Germany and allied forces would take nazi fuel containers after a conflict because they were of much better quality than what the allies had. A “Jerry” is a nickname for a German.
