Well, another meaningless tv show about a videogame who will be a forgetful footnote on pop culture history like halo and resident evil.

Can’t wait to this and the god of war show to come and burst as quickly as they got announced

Frankly, watching theatrical silent playthroughs of a video game is something I prefer. Especially if the player is both skilled at the game and good at making consistent roleplay decisions. A good editor makes a big difference.

The game itself is entertaining enough. And there are more than a few people who are better at playing said game than me. So watching someone else play is kind of like listening while someone else reads a book out loud.

I always find weird watch other people playing a game.

For me gaming is always a personal experience and my main passion, i have precious little free time and during this this time i couldn’t imagine expending time watching someone enjoying videogame while i could be playing myself

Fair enough, I can respect that. Honestly, I’d rather read a book. Don’t get me wrong, it has nothing to do with elitist bullshit like story quality or anything. I’m just bad at video games, and I don’t want to have to demonstrate nearly superhuman dexterity skills and reflexes or insane 4D-chess pattern prediction just to find out if I was right about the villain back story twist we’ve been building up to for four years. And getting kicked back to chapter 1 every time I fuck up a check or an attack would make me go crazy. X’D

Why does it have to continue the story of BG3? The game was phenomenal, but the story wrapped up pretty neatly.

There are a thousand other stories you could tell in faerun.

Why does it have to continue the story of BG3?

Because that’s how the show gets made. Based on my read of the article the intention definitely seems to be a new story set in Faerun. Sure we’ll have some familiar characters pop in from time to time, but it definitely sounds like a new story.

I expect the first season will lean more heavily on the story of characters post BG3, but if it’s successful I could see them traveling the world.

He did a great job with season one of the last of us. I mean, he made some significant changes to the story that were absolutely spectacular. I was very curious how they were going to handle Bill in the Show. The show did something that was absolutely not in the game and created one of the greatest episodes of TV ever. Long, Long time is incredible.

    So I’m excited about this.

I’m cautiously pessimistic. Good that the show runner is a fan. But Hasbro will find a way to f it up if it even manages to actually get produced.
