In my view straws of any material are useless as a concept and waste of natural resources. They are among the first things we should completely get rid of and ban forever. We could 100% live without them without any effect whatsoever on anyones quality of life.

…am I really the only one who bought fucking metal straws with silicon tips and the tools to clean them years and years ago now?

This seems like a solved problem.

Have you got a good brand recommendation? I have a pair (gifted) and I want to get more, but couldn’t find a good similar option I liked online.

Hannah is cool, but not explaining that we had biodegradable plastic straws from natural materials (still cellulose) that you can’t really distinguish from the fossil fuel plastic ones even before the ban is also sad. I bet there are massive forces funneling these paper/cardboard ones to local suppliers just to fight the change.
