4·7 days agoI don’t want this. I just want a robot that can fold laundry. I don’t care if it can only fold 80% of it and if it takes all day for a single basket. I’d happily pay 1-2K for it too!
Obsidian aldo has (paid, subscription) native sync that is supposed to work better than file sync. Another alternative is git sync. That’s basically file sync through git but great if you want to track your changes.
Yeah, all the good parts of Ubuntu have been backported to Debian years ago.

108·1 year agoSecure from what exactly? You need to have a threat model here. For most personal use cases I’d argue that protection from adtech tracking is more important than e.g. sandboxing. Most people run into adtech continuously, but few people browse shady exploit-ridden sites.
In that case, Firefox us the clear winner. It supports manifest v2 for better adblocking, and it is the only mobile browser with extension support allowing you to use adblocking on mobile as well.
They care, but Google Glass was a lot more obvious to the casual observer than these new smart glasses are.

ZFS isn’t built-in. I don’t know enough about btrfs to recommend it.
Bog-standard Debian with LVM. LVM can also do RAID, but you could also do mdadm below LVM if you prefer. Keep it simple.
