I wish I had more experience with other immutable distros but Fedora Silverblue has been so stable on both my laptop and PC the past couple years that I haven’t had any reason to try anything else.

I’m super boring and really like vanilla gnome but without fail I always install Blur My Shell. It’s so pretty and it doesn’t mess with the paradigm at all. On my laptop I also have found Bluetooth Battery Meter to be super helpful since I use more wireless devices with it.

I see it used somewhat frequently on other companies maps for things like “here’s where to find us” or things of that nature.

Buying a used pixel on eBay doesn’t give Google any money. I agree with the rest of you point but I think it’s facetious to act like you have no option but to pay Google directly to get a pixel.

If I understand correctly they didn’t actually delete anything it just shreds the encryption keys so it can’t be accessed. Idk if the difference matters a whole lot though.

Not enough people in here mentioning how nice a base vanilla DE experience is. I love vanilla gnome and it’s so refreshing to set up a fresh fedora install and have it so clean.

AirVPN does good for torrenting I use it now that mulvad doesnt support port forwarding

The pinephone was atrocious (As a daily) though. From what I’ve heard from owners it still struggles to this day to run basic mobile Linux OSes.

I’m not sure I see this being very effective. In my opinion, the draw of TikTok isn’t the short video format itself (there’s plenty of mid-length content from 3-10 minutes on there), it’s the algorithm. Every other platform without the addictive and incredibly personalized algorithm loses the draw because that’s the only way the infinitely-scrolling random short form content pipeline works for people.

That also should work tbh especially if you have a neat little coil to keep it from dangling much.

It would be cool if you could make the deadbolt with a conductive material and slowly charge from a contact in the wall while the door is locked but there might be a risk of fire if things go wrong.

I do too, and I recommend it to people in my line who I think would be interested. I just don’t think it’s fair to act like people who aren’t equipped for that do that are lesser than or deserving to live with slop.

Most ppl don’t have the time to figure out how to set that up and maintain it
