    did you live by yourself or were you doing dishes for a family? because that makes a difference. i’m thinking you may have some recency bias

      I was living with roommates, one of whom was absolutely terrible about doing her own dishes. But I still don’t get what your overall point is?

        that having a dishwasher has made you forget.

        no worries, i went through it too. like, when i moved in with my wife we didn’t have a dishwasher for the first time for me in like five years and it was An Adjustment.

          I get your point. I’m not op, but it makes the task easier. It doesn’t eliminate it is their point. I get yours. That the manual sink washing is more of a chore and also more time sensitive. I too would like to never have to empty the dishwasher, which often has a whole days stuff, not just one meal. For families, this can be a bunch of stuff and neverending.
