I started a new save last week in preparation. This way I’ll have a early-mid game level character I’m invested in by the time it drops.
I enjoy watching oboeshoes play it. He gives Starfield playthroughs some flavor.
Ya totally. I don’t play the main game, haven’t done any Constellation missions.
I explore systems, steal ships, and kill people.
My big thing lately has been dumping everything in the galaxy onto the floor of the Broken Spear tavern in Cydonia. Got a pretty big pile going.
So ya, the updates they’ve announced sound like they will enhance the stuff I enjoy in the game.I forgot that game existed. Id rather a refund than DLC
I enjoyed this comment but also don’t wanna dunk on OP enjoying their game
I’ve had a great time with it personally. I totally understand most of the criticisms though.
glad you enjoyed it! at least someone did :)
Like 4 people but like vegans and CrossFit folks, they’ll tell you all about it!
100%, though I hope they expand on the freeflying and let you also approach planets and land manually, even if all it does is the same loading in as from the map but with a disguised loading screen in a form of you approaching the landing spot instead.
My answer is the same as when Brewster asks me if I want pigeon milk in my coffee in Animal Crossing: “Ew, no.” (Look up pigeon milk. Or Starfield, for that matter.)
You’ve contributed a lot to this discussion
I’m not, I remember how badly the fumbled the bag with Shattered Space…It’s not likely anything can actually save Starfield, as Bethesda couldn’t be arsed to figure out how to write a good fucking story in space!
I didn’t buy Shattered Space, but it sure sounded unappealing. Like, pick the least attractive faction, psycho religious nuts, and write about that? It lost me right there, just with the theme.
I’m planning to give it another go. Only played it for maybe 15 hours around launch and found it pretty underwhelming.
I had an awful lot of fun in the lower levels by sticking entirely with my mining laser. After a while I picked up a rivet gun and an arc welder. Later on a ship cutter to replace the mining laser. And finally I got some Arc Might plasma drill thing that absolutely tears through anything with the most jarring sound. I’m not really the cosplay type, but my dood is a miner, with modified, deadly tools. Silly, I know, but fun is where you find it.
I really liked Starfield and had lots of fun with it and the first Dlc.
Looking forward to playing the new one two, but not that soon. I started a highly modded Morrowind playthrough a few days ago and that will take ages to play.
Yeah I’ve had a good time with it over the course of a couple playthroughs. This will be my third character. I’ve been happy with it since launch and I like the additions they’ve made since.
I’d forgotten about that game. Maybe if it’s deeply discounted, I’ll finally give it a try. I still haven’t made up my mind about it. I might enjoy adding it to my endless “to do list”.
I’m holding out for a steam deal, and this mod to get further along. I bought Starfield on Xbox, and was bored after about 10 hours. But the Genesis Mod, looks like something really special.
I wish it ran well on my 6-year-old PC. I want to get back into it and actually give it a real try. Also I want to play with some Star Wars mods.
The mods and creations add a lot to the game.
Yup!
Yeah, I quite liked it.
Yeah, some of the planets were repetitive, but so is endlessly murdering people on GTA.
Started playing it again but it’s getting too sunny to justify sitting in a dark room playing for 8 hours or so
Just pull the shades, it’s really not a big issue.
I’d rather be outside in said sunshine is the point I was making
Yeah I’d agree.
