Unfortunately, I don’t think the artist was aware of Skálmöld, Iceland’s unofficial national metal band, when they originally drew this comic like 12 years ago
Do look them up, some of their music is really good. I particularly like their album Baldur, as it’s a continuous story about viking mythology and filled with beautiful pieces like Heima. They’ve also played alongside the Iceland Symphony Orchestra
