        You think they still live here, now their homes are nicer? Or they were forced to move from their homes probably under threat. Their families and community probably lived there for generations.

          Love to just imagine sinister shit because theyre The Bad Guys. Let’s be realistic. In a country with a 90% home ownership rate and an overwhelmingly popular government carrying out a decades-long project of poverty reduction, do you really think they just decided to kick everyone out at gunpoint like they do in capitalist countries? Or do you think they -shock, disbelief- moved them into some nice newly constructed housing nearby?

      China has an extremely high home ownership percentage. This would be a problem if they didn’t also add high quality housing and walkable infrastructure.

        The PRC is at the forefront of electrification, renewables, walkable infrastructure, and high speed rail. Roads exist because to a certain extent they still play a vital role.
