It really is the meme of “world-famous American city” vs “some city you’ve never heard of, China”. If the location on the right were in Switzerland or something, it would already be in four Bond movies.
well yeah, china doesn’t have an equivalent to hollywood so they can’t distribute their culture worldwide.
Yes but without war, the government might get some of my money /s
Ah yes China, the totally peaceful country with no border conflicts whatsoever and no aggressive military actions against anyone <3
I really need to watch the video again where two PLN ships ram each other trying to capsize a Filipino vessel in Filipino waters. That one was very funny.
Hey when was the last time they had a war?
Did you know it costs exactly $0 to not be such a massive shitlib that you need to look down upon one of the greatest economic transformations in history
At this point I’m just downvoting these people for being so annoying

Were you aware that you could just not write idiotic comments like this?
Territorial disputes are not wars.
And border disputes are not border conflicts, either. What’s going on in the SCS is disputed borders, a border conflict (what OP here says) is when open war breaks out over borders.
China hasn’t been at war since before 97% of the folks here were born, and even that wasn’t a “border conflict” (Vietnam 1978)
BOOOOO! FAKE TRADITIONAL BUILDING! LOOK AT HOW ARTIFICIAL THE CHINESE DICTATORSHIP IS! /s
Looks like they destroyed housing to build shops and restaurants and hotels
And what do you suppose became of the people living in those homes?
“Housing”. Lol.
China has an extremely high home ownership percentage. This would be a problem if they didn’t also add high quality housing and walkable infrastructure.

And introduced the concept of night and pretty lights.
And pollute the environment with roads
The PRC is at the forefront of electrification, renewables, walkable infrastructure, and high speed rail. Roads exist because to a certain extent they still play a vital role.
That attraction in Chongqing is a living hell. It is insanely over crowded. Just an FYI.
Turns out they need to build more of them.
It’s a very pretty building but it’s basically just food stands that you can find in all tourist locations in China. My advise is to look at it from afar where it looks pretty, but avoid going in at all costs. You will genuinely be upset by how people behave in there. It’s wild.
