Shouldn’t he be in the cage? Why should she have to be inconvenienced to protect herself from him?
You’re right of course, but I think the intention was to illustrate that she (like the machine) is a dangerous object that will hurt you if you get too close.
The subtle description of a woman as an object for society to build cages around is visible to me with my current cultural lens.
That makes sense - thanks
its also unrealistic because a real company would come up with a scheme to make her quit so they don’t have any financial obligation to her instead of doing anything about the gropist.
source: seen it twice including a unionized government position where several other staff made witness statements against the guy.
Holy shit that is amazing.
Her ‘safety cage’ is both for the protection of herself, and others, hahaha!
And like most corporate safety rules. Doesn’t actually solve the root of the problem.
I’m liking these Jucika comics more and more!
I love these. Enjoy these just as much as Mr. True.
I do too. I really enjoy the sort of nostalgia-adjacent feeling I get from laughing at the same comics that people were laughing at 70 years ago (or 100+ for many of the Everett True comics).
Pshh, Mr. True would’ve turned this guy into a pretzel and fed him back into the machine.
If you have
- read Blindness by José Saramago
- or been an asshole
you know how much high heel kicks hurt
Same force over a smaller surface area = more ouch
