      You’re right of course, but I think the intention was to illustrate that she (like the machine) is a dangerous object that will hurt you if you get too close.

      its also unrealistic because a real company would come up with a scheme to make her quit so they don’t have any financial obligation to her instead of doing anything about the gropist.

      source: seen it twice including a unionized government position where several other staff made witness statements against the guy.

      I do too. I really enjoy the sort of nostalgia-adjacent feeling I get from laughing at the same comics that people were laughing at 70 years ago (or 100+ for many of the Everett True comics).
