“Fuck America” has been my policy since I’ve been old enough to make financial decisions. I’m angry we’re stuck with them for CPUs.

I have turned to ARM CPU’s in raspberry pi’s Acorn is not US and the Raspberry pi foundation is not from the US either. If Arm is not your style there is also RISC-V which is a more open standard than ARM, working with the same architecture. X86 are CISC CPU’s while ARM and RISC-V are RISC CPU’s, IBM’s Power architecture is also RISC but I am unsure if they still make them.

Either way x86, and as far as I am aware CISC, was designed by intel in side the US. RISC was designed for BBC micro outside of the US. You can get ARM and RISC-V motherboards for computers, they are out there, but I have only used ARM on my phone and tablet (both Apple sadly) and my numerous amounts of Raspberry pi’s, I have a SBC with a Rock CPU but I do not remember why I stopped using it. I do not think it was magic smoke I would have gotten rid of it if it was that it is just sitting there on my desk.

lol, imagine being that stupid. Trade is meant to mutually beneficial otherwise there is no point. Starting with “we will win” doesn’t put you in a stronger bargaining position. It just makes you look like you don’t understand how trade works. This Trump boot lickers thinks he’s talking to the indoctrinated MAGA base.

People this conservative cannot see past the zero sum game. It does not occur to them that there actually is plenty to go around.

I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing and NOT buy and support American companies by boycotting their products. It’s simple! It works! and it pisses them off! 🍁😎

And then he comes back and complains that Canadians aren’t spending their money in the US anymore.

We’ve already replaced all our US sources in business. In some cases we are actually paying less.

      We don’t need them.

The trade czar said Canada is committed to its green energy transition — pointing to electrification and electric vehicles — and said that doesn’t align with U.S. policy.

Why does this make me think he was the kid in the back of the classroom who always smelled and ate paste?

Exactly, oh our goals don’t align with your for economy? Well fuck that. The US showed us how valued we are as an ally and trading partner. If they want something we shouldn’t be altering our trade needs based on the whims of an orange turd. The leader who managed to spend all of the US soft power in a year because he wasn’t stroked enough. They can piss off.

Also not like it’s all his ideas but people who have power over the administration pushing it. Yes let’s give those billionaires more power in negotiations. I would so rather be a part of the EU, mean not just cause of this I felt my ideals fit closer to EU than this system we’ve been locked in cause we’re next door to the US., but because being a partner of fascism is not right.

We are getting closer to joining the EU, it seems. I would prefer CANZUK (without the monarchy), but we cannot always have what we wish for.

Start counting tech giants and financial services in your trade calculations you deceitful little bitches.

There is no trade deficit. The US exploits the entire fucking world through Tech and Finance, and then whines that they intentionally prioritized tech and finance over manufacturing for decades.

You want to go back to manufacturing everything yourselves, fine, the rest of the world can go back to running their own finance systems and regulating their own tech companies.

Richest country in the world whines that it’s not rich enough.

I really like seeing how the EU is trying to push back on US tech, wish Canada had the balls to do it. I am moving my stuff away from US tech, I luckily (well unluckily) had my place flood so a lot of stuff got destroyed. I am going to replace what I need second hand what I can, than a lot of it will be used for me to make a home lab.

My old home lab was a few Raspberry pi’s running pihole, cups, and wireguard. It became more complex in 2025 and is currently two pi 5’s running pihole, nextcloud, immich, a bunch of the *Arr suite of apps, Vaultwarden, and probably more apps I am forgetting about, than a pi 4 with HAOS installed on it, and a pi 0 2 with wireguard on it. I have such plans to make my home lab even better when I get paid out for my damaged things and I will not be relying on US tech for it.

I moved my blog and email provider to a Canadian company in 2020, I have plans on moving it to my home lab where I can have better tools. I currently have 200+ email addresses that forward to six or seven email addresses I check if I get spam, than bam that address is typically closed.

Thing is… there can be two ways to interpret “America First” — that they set up trade policies in a way that puts the American people first over the long run, or that they give preference in all things to American businesses that are willing to prop up the current administration, even if by doing so they harm Americans in the long run.

This idiot appears to be taking option 2.
