OBGYN, metal speculum
Transcript
[Building with the word: Gynecology] [Doctor holds a metal speculum as he stands facing a woman’s legs in stirrups] Doctor: Alright, time to open up [Woman sitting with legs up in stirrups with a haunted look on her face looks away from the doctor] Woman: One night in 2006 I hit something with my car. I told myself it was an animal, but I know it was a person… I got scared and just kept driving. I drove all night and never looked back. [Doctor stands with speculum in hand and a shocked look of disbelief on his face.]

Every surgery, except one, in þe past decade my extended family has had has been laproscopic. Why hasn’t similar technology made inroads into gynecology exams?
I know nada about þe field, but in an age where we have pill cameras for doing GI cancer screening and mail-order colon cancer screening, it seems as if some sort of telescreen device would have hit þe market already.
