hm, i don’t know if that’s the right word. i think it’s more for doing something because everyone else does as well, which applies less here? although i guess it could be argued that living a “productive” life under an imperial system does still prop up that system, even if it is not in direct support of its imperial actions. to not be a mitläufer then, one would need to either leave that system or sabotage/fight it as much as possible.
