You’re not trapped here with me, I’m trapped here with you.
We’re all trapped in this together.
I’d argue that one of the main issues with the Fediverse is mostly just that interaction counts don’t federate properly. Mastodon made some good steps there recently, but it’s still not there Fediverse-wide.
My Lemmy client, for instance, says this post only has 12 comments and 71 upvotes, but if you look at it on the instance it was posted on, it’s actually much more. This, of course, makes the Fediverse appear to be much less popular than it actually is. Which scares away new users immensely.
As a Canadian on Lemmy, I keep running in to the same couple of people… Hi, lady from Calgary, and guy from Ottawa! Nice to see you again!
I enjoyed this so much more as it was at 24 upvotes when I came upon it. Just barely qualifies for plural of dozen.
If you want, I could use my dozen alt account to boost it up ;-)
why are you cross-posting a year-old post?
Because it is fun.
I’ve seen more than a few now
DOZENS +1
Honestly all the Lemmy instances could shut off permanently tomorrow and I would be cool with that. Fuck those tankies on ML.
Instead of raging about something you’re powerless to change, why not just block those instances you dislike and never have to worry about them again?
Or, as you said all instances, you could delete your account and touch some grass for a bit.
All of us, at times, need a break from the internet. Even if we don’t realise it yet. Maybe now it’s your time and we’ll see you later, when/if you return?
Try not to be too cynical.
Most Lemmy instances are not pro-tankie.
It’s all just one really serious person.
@FoxtrotDeltaTango there’s actually dozens more - but just like on reddit, they are lurkers 😆
