    American here.

Please know that this does not represent the average American on the street. When we had big wildfires Canada sent firefighting aircraft and crews and support staff and it saved lives. We haven’t forgotten that, even if our ‘leaders’ have.

These statements are beyond shameful and they dishonor all of America. The American people do not feel this way or agree with these statements. Trump does not speak for all of us or even most of us, especially in this matter. Speaking for the average person on the street- we do not want to annex Canada, we do not want to threaten you with tariffs, we love Canada and we want good relations with our friendly northern neighbors.

Stay safe. And I’m sorry we are sending threats instead of fire crews.

      American here.

How much do you care about the average Russian, who hasn’t done shit to overthrow Vlad and the oligarchy there for decades?

We need to do something about our domestic problems instead of going on the internet and grandstanding to the people we’re harming about how “we’re one of the good ones”.

Seriously, let’s have a modicum of self respect and stop begging Canadians to like us, and instead do something about the reasons why they don’t.

When you’re right you’re right. It’s hard, especially for people pleasers like me to stop apologizing for shit like this but it’s time to realize we’re making things worse, not better.

“The man we elected to represent us does not represent us”… sorry, that’s not how democracy works.
