The first comment was aimed at finitebanjo who is clearly a Zionist imo. I don’t get how saying “what about the other genocides” is considered a valid response. FiniteBanjo ignoring Israel committing atrocities and Tankies ignoring Russia and China commiting atrocities are different sides of the same coin.

Although funnily enough, the Soviets pushed for a two state solution and tankies mostly don’t want that I think.
Israel always had tensions and responded to Oct 7, they don’t deliberately target civilians, Hamas uses human shields, which leads to dead civilians. (Many rouge soldiers who go largely unpunished, but no statewide policy, so no indiscriminate bombing.) No mass graves from street executions, no children kidnapped. Moving Israelis in to replace Palestinians does happen in the west bank, but not Gaza and it’s not really state policy, although they really should crack down on that.

I don’t block them because that is how it festers. You need to challenge them clearly, blocking them actually helps them.
This a better response that I was expecting. Sorry for poking you like this. Some people on Lemmy are really quick to call others zionists for disagreeing on any point they think is adjacent to Israel, which is where my comment came from. I don’t know about finitebanjo, I’ve not noticed.
