For real. I use a mix solar heat, and wood burning now (simplest to get into diy), but plan on doing a massive PV array. I was just thinking how i could better capture the waste heat produtivly from wood burning though.

I will almost always had some wood burning, since i have limited space but i do have trees. Which mean more limbs than makes sense to mulch or return to the garden. So im happy to smoke some food with it and burn a small amount to heat the green house in the winter

Yah, we have a lot of jobbing solar, also a massive array now we own, but i have a turbine in storage waiting for the pool (billiards) shed to go up 'cos that baby’s gonna be entirely off grid.

I’m lucky i don’t have to go too far heating the greenhouse, a black water butt handles winter as a heat battery and some usb reptile mats bump us over the deepest chills.
