This one I dont’ get. Wasn’t Donkey Kong Land a Gameboy Color or Gameboy Advance port of Donkey Kong Country for SNES? So if you want higher quality graphics and sound…play DKC?

I don’t know how similar they are but the flying pig on the cover was definitely not in DKC.

Yeah. That’s quite possibly the highest production values I’ve seen on a crime since the 3D Chrono Trigger remake trailer.

Shadow drop it on an anonymous upload site and then vanish.

Yeah, which makes an updated release with actual gamepad controls unlikely. I honestly don’t get why there is no gamepad support. It’s a Unity game. Adding support for gamepads is most likely less work than making this graphic the developer added to the archive:

I mean it sure doesnt take as long to set up as this graphic. Testing might take some time but not much. The only issue is you have to use it from the start and if they didnt they will likely have to redesign whatever software controllers they wrote.

Yeah it does, but you still have to set it up. It doesnt just work magically.

I didn’t say anything about magic, just that it should be less work than making this graphic.

Me saying “you have to set it up”, followed by your reply “comes with support out of the box”, didn’t really make sense. It sounded like you expected controllers to just work and thats not true. You have to set it up the mappings and then have your software controller actually use those mappings so your hardware controllers work as expected. So if they didnt account from the start, they’ll have to redo what they made to support it.

You have to map the inputs, not write a gamepad driver to actually support the hardware. Unity supports gamepads out of the box. That’s a fact.
