I don’t trust modern Rockstar to make a good game considering all the recent layoffs and union busting. That last game they made was in 2018, it has all the signs of over-budgeted, safe, corporate slop. The Rockstar I loved is long dead.

Even without the union busting and layoffs, GTA 5 multiplayer was as painful as they could possibly make it to milk people for shark cards. GTA 4’s multiplayer was just a fun sandbox to mess around in, which is what GTA 5’s multiplayer should’ve stayed, and then maybe single player would’ve actually got some meaningful post-launch content (remember how GTA 4 got two DLCs that were, effectively, two entire additional games on the same map? I remember.)

Instead, they realized they could milk whales, abandoned the singleplayer experience, and I expect GTA 6 to be just as awful and extractive if not more so. Miss me with that shit, I might pirate it and play the singleplayer campaign but that’s about it, they’re not getting my money anymore.

Even if it’s good, at this point the hype has reached such ludicrous levels there’s no way it could compete with it’s own image
