I appreciate the artistic vision and the craft, they’re both excellent. I will say, this is not what dissociation felt like to me at all. It wasn’t an escape as much as it was me just losing control and just. Disappearing. And then ‘waking up’ when people inevitably were like ‘yo are you hearing me?’
It would sometimes coincide with anxiety or panic attacks but the worst part to me was still just this feeling of losing control. Feeling myself slip away and both wanting to just disappear and not wanting it.
Do yeah while I totally see this vision and I do appreciate the execution of it, it doesn’t really match with how, to me, this was more like an existential horror I had to relive multiple times per day.
Edit: checked the comments and I recognize this isn’t necessarily the experience others have with it. Dissociation from neurodivergence can be a completely different experience, no doubt! Mine unfortunately was more trauma/ptsd related I guess. Love to read all the input about the topic and I’ll see if I can read more on autism/adhd related dissociation as I am also autistic.
