They have never been a people and have no rights. The rights are ours. We say these things unequivocally.

    Chief Rabbi of Israel

Fucking hell. What I find so bleak is that Israel’s civil society is so muted. Say what you will about the shitshow of the US but there would be tangible outrage by prominent voices if something like this was said in 2026 about say indigenous americans or greenland or whatever. Meanwhile so much of Israel seems to have fallen in line. It’s terrifying.

Of course there are plenty of people in Israel against this, but they are muted, have little reach or are silenced, there is so little noise with reach against this.

And if you criticize this you’re antisemitic

The biggest drivers of anti semitism right now are Israel, the IDF, Jewish organizations and people like this turd who shit on Palestinians as being untermensch

Republicans say (liberals, trans, gay, etc) are not people and have no rights.

Rich people say poor people aren’t people and have no rights.

Starting to detect a theme, here.

And here I thought the corrupt Bibi government was to blame for the genocide. Now it’s the Rabbis, too? Sickening.

Disgusting. And our tax money is going to fund that genocide (if you’re American).

We don’t get sick leave, medical, decent living… Nah we get our money sent off to murder innocent people.

I was just working for a very Jewish woman a couple days ago. We were walking to another house down the street in a Jewish community. She seemed like she made it a point to be listening to a pro zionist YouTube channel or the like on full volume talking about how the Palestinians were violent people who were attacking themselves. It was really weird. It was definitely something interesting listening to the other side of the argument for a few minutes. I didnt realize there was so much rhetoric for the subjugation of a whole other people. This whole situation is fucked up.

Is there anything to save in Israel ? I hear there’s a left, but what are they doing ? are they such a very small minority, is the media so bought-out that we seldom hear about them ?

Perhaps if they didn’t have had neighboring enemies that unambiguously want to destroy Israel for about 80 years straight, they wouldn’t have to be that way.

It’s obviously a reasonable question to ask: why the fuck did you put your country in middle of several hornet nests like that? What does it matter that some ancestors of yours lived there 3000 years ago? Some religious bullshit probably.

Humans are just that naturaly evil, if a whole nation can fall, then it’s time to look into if the voluntary extinction movement had a point.

Please, we have to analyze things more nuancely than that. A virtuous, respectful human world is something that needs to be maintained, it’s not ever going to be a given- but even if it seems impossible at times shouldn’t be enough to deter us.

I didn’t want to suggest than the whole of human society was a lost cause, or even Israel. I was wondering what proportion of their population the left makes up.

My only hope is that I can at least start something with a local community centered around helping people achieve self-sufficiency. The idea is that people are kind of inherently well, abusive, and exploitative of each other, and making them self-sufficient would solve most of the issue and render work redundant eventually.

It would also conveniently put the abusive/exploitative kind of people in an inconvenient position, as they depend on you not having food, clothing, medicine in order to exploit you, force you to behave in whatever sick way they require of you.

You can’t exploit yourself, and you can pick people who you get along with to hang out with, once there is no material incentive in the way.

This can quietly depower entire governments if it goes far enough (it won’t, but whatever), would leave the most rich and powerful much poorer, would improve the behavior of people in general, if they could feel comfortable being unemployed, and tell an unreasonable employer to sod off. The rat race does dehumanize people, and turn them into monsters.

That is basically the thesis and goal.

I agree. I think the most in your face example of this is blackmailing US citizens into signing for the army so they can get access to basic freedoms. With UBI and healthcare, the scheme would absolutely crumble

Humans aren’t naturally evil, but they can be easily exploited and manipulated in service of their egos.

There’s a community of bonobo monkeys that has a society of matriarchs and they have a largely non-violent and commual society where violent males are dealt with and exiled. That’s the issue, the violent males in society need to be exiled and deplatformed. None of this manosphere shit. At the end of the day, we’re all just primates.

Funny, it’s not up to other people to decide what is or isn’t “a people”.

_____ are not people or ______ are not a people reference to any group of human beings…that is a 100% foolproof way to identify an evil person. If they say it, they’re evil. Period.

Do you think people that say things like “Israelis are not a people” are evil?

If so, you might find there are a lot of evil people around in these parts.

Yes, which is why in any conflict that has been ongoing this long, it’s critical to look at the structural balance of power. When one side has fighter planes and missiles and tanks and the backing of the largest military, and the other has small arms and homemade unguided rockets, the equivalency of their rhetoric is not as important as their ability to act on it.

There can in fact be many evil people and sometimes they turn against each other. Not every conflict has a right and wrong side, sometimes it’s all wrong

Yup, the trick is to not get pulled into the hatred. A lot of people have gotten sucked into it and direct hatred towards anyone they see as “evil” and therefore not people. And the number of people targeted by that hatred keeps on growing.
