I am feeling the woes of a the 64gb Steamdeck users and i’m wondering it this adapter for an sd card would work?

    To add on top of other people’s comments, SD cards should not be considered reliable. They are made from the cheapest bottom of the barrel NAND flash. For storing contents that you write once then read many times and can easily replace, they are fine. But you don’t want it for an OS drive.

      I ran on a MicroSD for years with no problem. Doesn’t need to be reliable, it’s just for gaming.

        For a secondary drive of game installs that makes perfect sense. It’s an ideal use case. If you used it for an OS drive I am very surprised. What hardware was it used in?

        Doesn’t the SteamDeck already have a SD card slot? Getting a bigger SD card will be for sure the better option.
