    Ooh, well apologies to all those companies but I guess I won’t be playing any of their games.

    I don’t think there’s anything that a game could do that would convince me to install windows for it.

      I’ve personally ditched most gaming as a result, same as I mostly stopped following media after DRM became a thing a decade or so ago. I wish more people did the same, because interacting with people while being intentionally unaware of popular culture is difficult

        DRM has existed since the DVD era. I think there were even several attempts with VHS before that.

          What do you think, I was already peeved with DVD DRM, but at least it could be bypassed. With streaming services, where the file resides in a server instead of in a physical medium at home, it’s much harder to fix that
