Yeah, and this is NOT a “blame the victim thing” but women and children get to have pressure to just accept “their place” as the “lesser” but there are probably a fair number of dudes who get a similar pressure to “accept their place” as the better.

It’s part of why that block of assholes is really pushing back lately against progressive ideals. Because it’s a threat to the idea that “if you are a dude, you can just do it, it’s your place.” Especially as more and more men pull back and realize “I don’t have to be an asshole, I can respect others.”

Now here’s the fun thing. The undue pressure it puts on men is toxic as fuck too. This doesn’t benefit anyone!
Men benefit from it. They benefit both from raping people with impunity and from being one of the good ones who doesn’t.
