Bullshit. Hopefully they get a clue because I have trouble imagining 5 years of the game continuing in the state that it’s going to be in. Anybody with accessibility needs that aren’t met by Blizzard will be unable to properly play the upcoming expansion, for starters.

How so? It’s just combat mods getting the axe, not visual aid and info mods?

it is visual aids getting the axe. I’m hard of hearing myself, I can only hear out of my right ear and even then it’s not great so when I played WoW I really needed the visual queues via DBM or WeakAuras to be able to effectively participate in Raids, even pug Raids.

All that being said I don’t play anymore. the game just became mediocre story followed by the typical grind fest for gear. it’s of no interest to me anymore.

I trust deaf users reporting that their needs are not being met, but I do not currently play and know the nuance myself. I’ll remove the claim if I’m wrong upon further research.

Edit: Upon further research, it seems like there is a lot of reliance on WeakAuras in the deaf community (visual cues for sound-only events that may relate specifically to combat, raid communication), and many rely on rotation helpers for understandable reasons (like neurological conditions or physical disabilities that require more focus to be put into movement). It seems like colorblind or visually-impaired users will also suffer due to the lack of ability to color-code or highlight specific buffs and debuffs.

Nameplates seem to be one of the areas where users can no longer modify with addons, I’m unsure if this also affects unit frames in some part.
